On Point!
We have a 1,000 acres licensed in preserve that allows us to hunt quail through March. Open dates with lodging available. http://www.roanokeriverwaterfowl.com/upland-game.html
At RRW our dogs are more than just a part of our program, “They are the program!” There is nothing more enjoyable than watching our pointers and setters work the fields and low grounds, casting back and forth with their noise to the ground to trace the scent of the coveys. The combination of disciplined dog handling and the effects of proper conservation enable us to provide our clients with the perfect Southern quail hunting experience.

Steady migration of birds have been arriving throughout the November season. December and January 2021 should be even better. Roanoke River will most likely stay over flood stage through Christmas. It spreads the birds out but it also keeps them in the area. Hoping that we start to see some colder weather.

Professional Hunting Guide
Our hunting season here begins in less than 60 days. We have only a few dates available. We have been busy this summer and have added an additional lodge here on the Lower Roanoke. Once again Shaun Keeney has done an outstanding job guiding our clients in Africa on some amazing hunts. We look forward to hunting with all of you!

Waterfowl Migration Begins
Lots of ice on Thursday night but we had some open water on Saturday. Fog did not help with the mallards but the big ducks have started to show. The great migration that we prepare for all year has begun and we are now seeing snows, swans, geese and sand hills on the farm. Nothing makes us happier than when we are holding ducks.
